JOIN THE YMCA AND CONNECT WITH YOUR COMMUNITY

The Helena Family YMCA is Helena's oldest service organization. Serving the Helena area since 1889, the Helena YMCA is the oldest YMCA in the state of Montana and one of the first established YMCA's in the Rocky Mountains. For over a century the YMCA has been providing healthy lifestyle choices for children, adults and families. Our facility boasts a 25 yard pool, Cardiovascular Room, Aerobic Exercise Room, Fitness Center complete with free weights, indoor track, additional cardio machines and Cybex weight machines, locker rooms with towel service, Gym with drop in basketball hours, Community Room with computers and other amenities, and drop-in child care while you are working out.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

The YMCA is an inclusive organization whose mission is to serve the Helena community regardless of financial situations. Financial Assistance is available to all qualifying individuals or families. Applications can be picked up at the Member Services Front Desk. Funds for the YMCA Financial Assistance program are provided by private and corporate donations through the YMCA's annual Friends of Youth Campaign. Please allow 1 month for processing.

MEMBERSHIP PICNIC

Each year the YMCA offers a Membership Picnic. Games, food, music and prizes are all part of the event. Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 25. Look for more details regarding this event later in the summer.

FALL OPEN HOUSE

Join us the second Saturday of September for our annual Fall Open House. Joining fee will be waived to newcomers and those summer members who wish to continue their membership year round. More details will be forth coming in August. Bring in a friend or family member for a tour and receive a prize.

Cans For Kids
The Helena Y Service Club is now accepting donations of cans for the YMCA in the recycling dumpster next to the YMCA. You can also take your cans to Pacific Hide & Fur. Let them know you would like your donation to go to the Helena Y Service Club. These monies go to help support activities for kids.

Your membership includes the use of the indoor pool, gymnasium, indoor running track, weight room, cardiovascular room, Cybex Fitness equipment, whirlpool, sauna, and the Drop-In daycare service (2 hours free per day). Members are eligible for free or discounted programs and early registration privileges. You can make an investment in yourself and your community by becoming a part of the Helena Family YMCA.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

TOURS
If you have not yet had a tour of the facility, ask the membership service staff to show you around. Full tours are available during normal operating hours.

MEMBERSHIP CARDS
You will be furnished with a membership card. Please present this card each time you enter the facility, please remember to pick up your card upon leaving the building.

DROP IN CHILDCARE
Members are given two hours per day of drop-in childcare.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
The YMCA is an inclusive organization that believes no one should be denied the privilege of participating in one of our life-enriching programs. Financial Assistance is made possible by donated funds from the Friends of Youth Campaign and the United Way. Financial Assistance is available for qualified applicants. Please see one of our Membership Service Desk staff about an application.

MEMBERSHIP DEFINITIONS
Joiner Fee:
One time fee, this fee is used to process membership and issue cards and help with on going maintenance of the building.

Monthly Bank draft :
This is the only way to pay for membership monthly. Dues are pulled out on the first business day of the month.

Annual Cost :
This cost is for one year membership for the date you join. There is a small discount with this type of membership. Membership must be paid for in advance.

Reinstatement Fee:
This fee is for those that have dropped their membership and have decided to rejoin the YMCA. This fee covers processing membership and a new card will be issued.

Hold Polices:
The hold policy is used for people that are going on vacation, and those unexpected injures. You can put your membership on hold for up to three months. When you put your membership on hold you need to let us know what month you are coming back to the YMCA.

Cancellation Policies:
Must give 30 days written notice.

A.W.A.Y. Program: (Always Welcome At YMCAs)
The A.W.A.Y. program is a national program that has the philosophy that when a person enrolls in a YMCA, he or she becomes a member of a nationwide association of people that helps build strong kids. strong families and strong communities. and, therefore, when away from home, on business or vacation, each member will be warmly welcomed by all other participating YMCAs in the United States. Participation in this program is voluntary. Some restrictions apply.
